This is a great event for runners, walkers, stroller-pushers and for the little ones. With fun games, colorful costumes, and the chance to meet all of the wonderful teachers at Mountain View Parent Nursery School (MVPNS), as well as the loving parents, this is an event you won't want to miss.

Mission
To provide a safe, family-friendly 5k fun run and kid's run event to the community as a fundraiser for the Mountain View Parent Nursery School.

History
Down by the Bay 5k (and Tot Trot) Fun Run fundraiser event was founded in 2014 by the Mountain View Parent Nursery School in response to the need by the MVLA school district to reclaim the land MVPNS was situated on. With the help of the community, the dedication of the teachers at MVPNS and parents who gave their volunteer hours/donations, MVPNS was able to successfully fund-raise to move to a new location in 2015. The move is currently in progress, but many unexpected challenges/costs appear each day of the move. That is why we still need help.

Mountain View Parent Nursery School, or MVPNS, accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children, was founded in 1969 by a dedicated group of parents who wanted to enroll with their children in a parent participation preschool. The school was established as a non-profit organization in co-sponsorship with Mountain View-Los Altos Union High School District's Adult Education School.
